Getting a lot of busy work done, like getting my emissions test to renew my plates… ordering books for my fall courses… looking for an apartment.
I sat down to write today for the first time in a while, and perhaps my positive mood is helping. It’s flowing a lot easier. This will be my priority (aside from the busy work) for the next couple of months. FINISH! That’s what I have to do. I think I can do it.
Over the weekend, my neighbour (who’s an editor and a writer of children’s books) asked me to look over a few chapters she’s working on that has to do with Japan. I felt like such a pro… all these years as a grad student, it never hits you that you have become somewhat of a specialist. I feel like I can now contribute to the world somehow
